All Scott’s excavators are fitted with Hills or Harford dual-locking quick hitches and a layered safety spec designed for real-world sites.

Standard on our excavators

  • Front & rear mechanical pin locks on the hitch, plus a secondary, independent locking system (not reliant on the main hydraulic circuit).
  • Hydraulic check/hold valves on boom, dipper and bucket cylinders to minimise pressure-loss and collapse risks.
  • Crowd-to-release hitch geometry with latch position sensors and in-cab visual/audible warnings if the hitch isn’t fully locked.
  • ROPS/FOPS cab, laminated glazing and guarding in high-risk areas.
  • Seatbelt interlock & green beacon, reverse alarm (white-noise option) and LED work lighting.

  • 360° cameras, proximity alarms and AI human-detection to highlight people in the danger zone.
  • Height, depth and slew limiters (“virtual walls”) for work near roads, rail or overhead lines.
  • Rated-lift / overload warning for lifting operations.
  • Telematics with geofencing, utilisation and pre-use check capture—plus service-due alerts to keep machines compliant and reduce unplanned callouts.
  • Anti-theft immobilisers & keypad start, battery isolators and emergency stop.
